Lodge Capacity & Layout

  • Outdoor events: Up to 200 guests on The Lawn and Campground

  • Indoor events: Up to about 150 guests seated in The Lodge (though a max of about 120 is more comfortable)

Types of Packages


Basic Reservations

These packages are designed for milestone parties and more casual gatherings, like birthdays, family parties, and general events. This is your standard “hall rental” where you get to DIY everything. You arrange the tables and chairs yourself and bring in all your own decorations.

Reception Packages

These packages are designed for more major events, and come with custom floor plans, table cloths, decorative items, and more flexible timing. The Reception packages are perfect for weddings, bridal or baby showers, quinceañeras, bar/bat mitzvah, vow renewals/large anniversaries, and more!

Overnight Packages

These are full buy-out packages that truly make Carawood Lake special. Get everything in a Reception Package PLUS the exclusive access for your entire party to camp overnight on the grounds in one of our primitive cabins, or their own tent or RV.

What’s Included:
Basic Reservations

Overnight and single-day packages between 10 am and midnight are available.

Single-day packages are not available on Fridays or Saturdays EXCEPT if booking a date within the next 6 months (the Upcoming Event Package).

All Basic Lodge Reservations include:

  • Full access to the Lodge, Lawn, Fire Circle, Picnic Point, and the Pier (catch-and-release fishing available)

  • Indoor tables & chairs in standard layout

  • Picnic tables on the Patio

  • Full access to catering kitchen (includes commercial refrigerator, freezer, warming cabinet, and triple-basin wash sink, coming by March 2026!)

  • Climate control in the Lodge (heat + A/C)

  • On-site parking for all guests close to Lodge

  • On-site dumpster and aluminum recycling for easy clean-up

  • Indoor restrooms in the Lodge (we’re a campground, so figured we’d mention it!)

What’s Included:
Reception Packages

In addition to everything in a Basic Rental, Reception Packages include:

  • More time: Start your event as early as 8 am and end as late as midnight, plus get 4 hours the evening before for rehearsal and/or set-up

  • Indoor tables & chairs set up in a custom layout

  • Free use of items in our Something Borrowed Closet that includes tablecloths (white or black), chair covers (white), and centerpiece items (lanterns, jars, glass bottles, vases, mirror rounds, candlesticks, votives, greenery, charger plates, water goblets, and more)!

  • Outdoor ceremony site with outdoor chairs or wooden benches set up in a custom layout

  • Professional grade AV equipment, including 2 portable speakers and microphones

PLUS, we set-up and tear down everything that is ours (which includes potentially most of your tablescape with all the items in our Something Borrowed Closet), saving you time and reducing stress on your big day!

Overnight Packages

Our Overnight Packages are truly what make Carawood Lake unique, because not only do you get to stay on the grounds overnight, extending your celebration through lunch (or dinner!) the next day, but you get the entire campground to yourself.

You read that correctly. You get THE. WHOLE. THING. Just you and your people. Total privacy and the freedom to be yourself during your party.

Guests can stay in one of our 3 primitive cabins or in their own tent or RV. You can also rent RVs from nearby companies for the ultimate weekend campout!

Credit System

We recognize that in many cases, guests pay for their own lodging when they attend a wedding or major event.

For this reason, we have an optional way for guests to directly reserve and pay for their own site (cabin, RV, or tent), and then we’ll apply a credit to the Host’s account, reducing the overall price of the Overnight Package for the hosts.

Pricing

Our prices vary based on the day of the week and the time of year.

Our busiest times (warm season Saturdays) are in highest demand, while quieter times (weekdays and winter weekends) offer the best value.

This system lets couples and groups with flexible dates save significantly, while having greater availability for those who prefer peak dates.

Prices include everything detailed in the “What’s Included” sections above. We have no required bar or catering packages, and no hidden prices.

*Host Liability Insurance

The one additional cost we require is Host Liability Insurance for all events serving alcohol. This covers YOU in the event that a guest causes significant injury or damage during the event.

This insurance can be purchased through any vendor you chose (and can often be added to a Home Owner’s insurance policy for a small fee), but common choices include eWed Insurance and The Event Helper.

Depending on the type of insurance you select and the size of your party, the cost typically ranges from $100-$150.
